[Johnny actually listens pretty carefully to what she says. Which is impressive given who he is. But he's screwed up a lot of relationships himself and there's a lot of this that hits close to home with him.
When he opens his mouth again it's more to lighten the mood at first.]

It's okay to be freaked out about shit like this- But-
I've been in your shoes before, kid. And I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life.
...I lost my mom around just a little before Robby was born. I was already a nervous wreck when it came to having a kid. But she was life line- And I was an absolute mess after that. The day he was born, I was coming off a three day bender in a diner across the street. Couldn't gather up the nerve to walk across the street much less be there for him and him and his mom.
I fucked it up and I kept fucking up for years.
What I'm trying to say here is that it's okay to be nervous- or scared- or worried about that shit- But own it. You have to decide whether you want to give it a shot or not. And either way- You have to walk up to her and tell exactly what you just told me but with confidence.
And either way I think she'll see you're a badass who knows who she is. Even if she doesn't know what she wants.
My only advice, kid- Miss Da Silva. At least take her out for a night and see what it's like. You might have fun.
